Johann van Rooyen (PhD) is the founding Director of Citizenship & Residence Research Consultants (CRRC), an organization dedicated to key aspects of global migration. He disseminates his innovative research through published books, international conferences, media appearances, and engaging blog posts. Originally from Cape Town, Dr. van Rooyen has spent the last 25 years in Vancouver, Canada, where he has navigated the challenges and rewards of expatriate life firsthand.
CRRP is the publisher of books in the field of migration, including the newly published Global Mobility and Migration 2026: The Ultimate Guide for skilled workers, entrepreneurs, retirees, golden visa investors, and Digital Nomads.
CRRP acts as a referral source for several of the largest global citizenship/residence legal advisory firms.
CRRP refers clients to one of the leading global client service companies specializing in wealth protection, trustee services, and tax and succession planning, for internationally mobile families and entrepreneurs.
